Father Confesses to Strangling Pregnant Daughter Over Love Affair

A man in Bareilly strangled his pregnant 17-year-old daughter over her love affair and later confessed to the crime at a police station. The incident came to light after the teenager's relationship and pregnancy were discovered, leading to the arrest of the boyfriend under POCSO charges.

A man in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, strangled his pregnant 17-year-old daughter due to her love affair and subsequently confessed to the crime at a local police station, according to law enforcement officials.

Bareilly Superintendent of Police (City), Rahul Bhati, stated that the daughter was involved with Bhujendra alias Bhura Srivastava, from Rasula village. Upon discovering her pregnancy, the father accused Bhujendra of rape and filed charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at CB Ganj Police Station on Wednesday.

Bhujendra was apprehended on Thursday and jailed, while the girl was sent back to her home after giving her statement. Later that night, the father strangled her. The accused then confessed to the crime at Parsa Kheda Police Station before being transferred back to CB Ganj Police Station. The girl's body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem examination.
