An individual arrested in connection with a drug case narrowly evaded police custody on Friday at Kokrajhar court premises.

The suspect, apprehended Thursday night from Alamganj Part-9 village, Gauripur police station area in Assam's Dhubri district, fled through a window after requesting to use the restroom while being escorted to a hearing.

Authorities have promptly initiated a search operation to locate and apprehend the escaped suspect.
