Brick Kiln Owner Succumbs to Gunshot Injuries in Prayagraj

Monu Singh, a brick kiln owner who was shot by unidentified attackers a few days ago, has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Prayagraj, according to local police.
Singh, a 35-year-old resident of Parvatpur village, owned Sachin Bricks Field in the Ramganj area. He was attacked on the night of August 4-5 while sitting in the veranda of a room at the kiln. The assailants fled the scene after firing at him, said Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Sanjay Rai.
Locals who heard the gunfire alerted the authorities, and Singh was rushed to a medical college for treatment before being transferred to Prayagraj's SRN Hospital. Despite receiving medical attention, he passed away during treatment, Rai confirmed. Police have filed a case and are actively pursuing the suspects. The post-mortem is being conducted in Prayagraj.
