Four Men Nabbed After Shootout Over Alleged Cow Slaughter

Four men allegedly involved in cow slaughter were arrested after a shootout with police in Gautam Buddha Nagar. Residents Armaan, Sagir, Umesh, and Shahzad were captured in a joint operation. Pistols, cartridges, and cow slaughter tools were recovered. The men have confessed to multiple incidents of cow slaughter.

In a dramatic turn of events on Saturday morning, police arrested four men allegedly involved in cow slaughter in Gautam Buddha Nagar. The arrests followed a shootout after the suspects opened fire on police.

The operation was a collaborative effort between Jarcha Police Station and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) squad. The men, identified as Armaan and Sagir from Bijnor, Umesh from Hapur, and Shahzad from Gautam Buddha Nagar, had created tension in the area by slaughtering a cow near a local crematorium four days ago.

According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Kumar Singh, the police acted on a tip-off and intercepted the men near Khatana canal. Two of the suspects were injured in the encounter, leading to their capture. Weapons and tools used in the slaughter were seized, and the men have confessed to multiple similar crimes during interrogation.
