BSF Intensifies Border Coordination Amid Bangladesh Unrest

The Border Security Force (BSF) has conducted extensive flag meetings and coordinated patrols with Bangladesh's Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) over the past three days. The discussions aimed to ensure the protection of Indian citizens and minority communities amid unrest in Bangladesh. A high-level committee monitors the border situation.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has significantly ramped up its coordination with Bangladesh's border guarding force, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), as unrest continues in the neighboring country. Over the past three days, 83 flag meetings have been held, emphasizing the need to protect Indian citizens and minority communities in Bangladesh. An official from BSF highlighted these efforts on Tuesday.

In addition to these meetings, approximately 241 coordinated patrols took place in vulnerable border areas. A high-level committee established by the Union Home Ministry is actively monitoring the border situation and is in regular communication with their Bangladeshi counterparts to address any emerging issues.

The BSF is maintaining active communication channels at all levels with the BGB and has conducted 232 meetings with Indian villagers along the border. These measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of Indian citizens and minority communities in Bangladesh, following widespread student protests and political unrest that led to the formation of an interim government.
