An Army captain sustained critical injuries and four suspected terrorists were killed during a high-stakes operation in Jammu's Doda district on Wednesday, officials reported.
The clash erupted in a densely forested region during a coordinated cordon and search operation. The objective was to locate a group of foreign terrorists hiding in the Shivgarh-Assar belt.
Authorities recovered blood-soaked rucksacks and M-4 carbines from the encounter site. After an intermittent exchange of gunfire in Udhampur district, the terrorists had moved into Doda, leading to a renewed firefight early this morning.
