Grenade Attack in Quetta During Independence Celebrations

In a tragic overnight incident, insurgents threw a grenade targeting individuals outside a hotel in Quetta, located in southwest Pakistan, resulting in one fatality and injuring 10 others, according to local police and hospital officials.

This attack marked the third consecutive assault in Quetta over the past three days, coinciding with celebrations of Pakistan's independence day in the restive Baluchistan province.

The separatist group, Baluch Liberation Army (BLA), has claimed responsibility for these attacks. Despite government assertions of having quelled the insurgency, violent actions continue along Pakistan’s southwest borders with Iran and Afghanistan.
