Russian forces have reportedly neutralized a Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage unit that was equipped with NATO-supplied weapons in Russia's western Kursk region, according to the RIA, a state-run media agency.

Security officials cited by RIA disclosed the seizure of small arms manufactured in the United States and Sweden, including a Swedish-made Automatic Carbine 5 assault rifle, a US-made M4 carbine assault rifle, and an M2 Browning machine gun, near the village of Kremyanoe in Kursk.

Reuters has been unable to independently verify the battlefield reports from either side. The conflict in Kursk has escalated since August 6, following Kyiv's significant incursion, marking the largest attack on Russian territory since World War Two.
