Parents of the doctor, allegedly raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College last week, have indicated that several interns and physicians might be involved, said a CBI officer on Friday.

The parents provided names of suspects to the central agency, investigating under Calcutta High Court's directive.

The CBI is focusing on questioning these individuals and Kolkata Police officers part of the initial probe. The officer noted that at least 30 suspects have been identified and are being questioned.

On Friday, the CBI summoned house staff and trainees on duty with the doctor the night she was murdered, and also questioned Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former hospital principal, who stepped down after the body was found.

CBI officers have reconstructed the crime scene and conducted 3D tracking. The PG trainee's body was discovered at the hospital on August 9, and a civic volunteer was arrested the following day.
