Accused of Heinous Crime Escapes Custody, Captured After Gunfight

A man, Moish, accused of raping and killing a two-year-old girl, managed to escape from police custody and obtained a country-made pistol. After a gunfight with the police, he was recaptured. A probe is underway to determine how he acquired the weapon.

A man accused of the heinous crimes of raping and killing a two-year-old girl was briefly on the run after escaping police custody.

Moish, 20, abducted the minor from her family's home in Sadar area, Meerut, and fled after the crime. Despite the family's efforts, the girl was found dead in a drain the next morning.

Police soon tracked down Moish, who fired at the authorities with a country-made pistol before being injured and recaptured. Investigations are ongoing to determine how he obtained the weapon after his escape.
