CBI Intensifies Probe into Alleged Rape and Murder at RG Kar Medical College

The CBI questioned Dr. Sandip Ghosh, former principal of RG Kar Medical College, regarding the suspected rape and murder of a trainee doctor. Ghosh was interrogated about his actions on the incident night and his subsequent steps. The probe includes statements from doctors, nurses, and other involved personnel.

In a significant development, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, faced intensive questioning by the CBI for the second day in a row regarding the alleged rape and murder of a junior doctor.

Starting from early Saturday, Ghosh was seen entering the CBI office at the CGO complex with documents, where he was interrogated about his activities on the night of the incident.

Officials confirmed that the investigation involves verifying his statements with those of other hospital staff present that night, as well as a thorough review of the chest medicine department's weekly roster amid allegations of excessive working hours for the trainees.
