Court Sentences 12 to Life for High-Profile Astrologer's Murder
A local court sentenced 12 individuals to life imprisonment for the murder of astrologer Ramesh Tiwari. The Additional Sessions Judge imposed a fine on each convict. A local court has handed life sentences to 12 individuals after finding them guilty in the murder of renowned astrologer Ramesh Tiwari. The Additional Sessions Judge (IV), Rupali Saxena, imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on each of the convicted individuals.
District Government counsel Satish Chandra Pandey disclosed that Tiwari, who had been the astrologer for former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, was killed on November 15, 2012, in his home in Unchagaon. The murder was committed by two assailants dressed in police uniforms.
According to counsel, the investigation revealed the involvement of shooter Vipul Singh and several others in the murder conspiracy. Notably, some of the accused, including Jharkhande Singh and shooter Sher Bahadur Singh, have since died.
