The Ministry of Law and Justice's Legislative Department, along with the Institute of Legislative Drafting and Research, hosted a motivational lecture and workshop titled "Happiness – Building Capacity through Human Values" today. The event was marked by insightful discussions on enhancing workplace well-being and productivity through personal and professional development.

Chief Guest and Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal emphasized the importance of sharing problems and collaboratively finding solutions as a healthy practice in the work environment. He shared examples from his own experience, highlighting that objectively addressing stress is crucial for maintaining happiness and well-being.

Shri Meghwal further noted that Indian traditions offer valuable lessons on how sharing problems can lead to constructive solutions and increased productivity. He stressed the need for officials in the Legislative Department to develop strong communication skills to build credibility and reduce communication gaps. He described this as an essential management skill for enhancing human resource competence and fostering a positive and sustainable work environment.

Dr. Rajiv Mani, Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Legislative Department, introduced the workshop's theme and objectives. He highlighted the significance of teamwork and the essential skills and traits needed for effective coordination and professionalism. He underscored the workshop's role in addressing work-life balance and overall well-being.

Motivational speaker and author Dr. Nanditesh Nilay delivered a thought-provoking lecture, focusing on four key points for achieving a happy and successful work environment: diligence and purpose in one's work, the identity work provides, pride in one's achievements, and the role of spirituality in maintaining a positive mindset. He emphasized that happiness stems from within and that aligning thought, mind, and action is crucial for work-life balance.

Dr. Nilay urged participants to find purpose in their work and maintain optimism, noting that a balanced work-life routine is essential for personal happiness. He drew from personal experiences and ancient wisdom, including a reference to Arjun from the Mahabharata, to underscore the importance of realism and focus in the workplace. He concluded that pride in one's work and honesty are integral to both individual satisfaction and organizational success.

The workshop, attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Law and Justice's Legislative Department, concluded with Dr. Manoj Kumar, Additional Secretary, acknowledging the session's impact.
