Madhya Pradesh Government Reshuffles Top Bureaucrats Again

The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in its latest bureaucratic reshuffle. This follows a series of transfers, including nine IAS officers the day before and a major reshuffle of 26 IAS and 21 IPS officers in August. Key appointments affected include those of Sanjay Dubey and Manish Rastogi.

The Madhya Pradesh government has once again reshuffled its top bureaucrats, transferring 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers on Wednesday night.

The decision, which was announced late at night, comes on the heels of the transfer of nine IAS officers the previous day. Significant changes include the appointment of Sanjay Dubey, a 1993-batch officer, as Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD) along with other charges. Previously, Dubey served as Principal Secretary of the Science and Technology Department.

Additionally, Manish Rastogi, a fellow 1993-batch IAS officer, has been moved to the Finance Department from the GAD as Principal Secretary. On Tuesday, Amit Rathore, a 1996-batch officer, was appointed Principal Secretary of the Finance Department. However, his appointment was revoked within 24 hours, and he will continue to serve as Principal Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department. This reshuffle follows a major reorganization on August 10, which saw 26 IAS officers, including eight district collectors, and 21 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers transferred.
