Final Escapee Captured: The Namsai Jail Break Saga Ends
The last of the four prisoners who escaped from Namsai jail in Arunachal Pradesh was captured on Wednesday. Escapee Gopal Munda was apprehended by the police, assisted by villagers and security forces. The jail break initially involved Mineswar Dihingia, Arjun Kandha, Gopal Munda, and Robin Surin who fled on August 18.

The last of the four prisoners who escaped from the Namsai jail in Arunachal Pradesh was arrested, officials confirmed on Thursday.
On August 18, four prisoners, identified as Mineswar Dihingia (37), Arjun Kandha (27), Gopal Munda (23), and Robin Surin (45), had managed to escape around 12.30 am from their cell. While three were apprehended earlier, a search was ongoing for Gopal Munda, who was accused of rape.
Munda was finally captured in the early hours of Wednesday from Nampong village, located around 12 km from Namsai district headquarters. Namsai SDPO J Molo lauded the coordinated efforts of the villagers, police, Assam Rifles, and the CRPF in successfully bringing Munda to justice.
