Mastermind Behind 2016 Nabha Jailbreak Extradited from Hong Kong

Ramanjit Singh, also known as Romi, was extradited from Hong Kong to India and arrested by Punjab Police. Singh, the main conspirator in the 2016 Nabha jailbreak, faced an INTERPOL Red Notice and was apprehended after an international operation involving CBI, Punjab Police, and Hong Kong authorities.

Ramanjit Singh, the mastermind behind the 2016 Nabha jailbreak, was extradited to India from Hong Kong and arrested by the Punjab Police on Thursday. His extradition was a result of a coordinated effort between the CBI, Punjab Police, and Hong Kong authorities, officials reported.

Singh, also known as Romi, was flown in by a Punjab Police team and arrested upon arrival in Delhi. He was the key conspirator in the Nabha jailbreak where six hardcore criminals, including two terrorists, managed to escape in November 2016.

The CBI spokesperson disclosed that a Red Notice was issued against Singh by INTERPOL at the Punjab Police's request in March 2017. Singh was located in Hong Kong in 2018, and his provisional arrest was secured soon after. The Punjab Director General of Police announced the extradition on social media, thanking all agencies involved in the international cooperation.
