Zelenskyy Condemns 'Vile' Russian Barrage; Energy Sector Hit Hard

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned a massive Russian attack involving over 100 missiles and drones, which targeted Ukraine's critical civilian infrastructure and energy sector, causing multiple deaths and injuries. Emergency power cuts were implemented across the country. President Zelenskyy urged Ukraine's allies to provide long-range weapons to counteract the assaults.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday condemned Russia's overnight and early morning barrage on his country as “vile” and said it involved over 100 missiles of various types and about 100 “Shahed” drones.

Ukraine's leader announced multiple casualties and significant damage to the nation's energy sector, marking the attack as one of the most extensive in recent weeks. Emergency power cuts have been implemented by the state-owned power grid operator, Ukrenergo.

President Zelenskyy called on Ukraine's allies to supply long-range weapons, stressing the need to eliminate launch sites within Russia to halt the relentless shelling.
