Shaurya Chakra Recipient Arrested for Attacking Congress MLA

Former CRPF officer Vikas Jakhar was arrested in Jaipur for allegedly manhandling Congress MLA Rafeek Khan at his residence. Jakhar claimed Khan had been harassing his wife. Jakhar, a Shaurya Chakra recipient, was restrained and beaten by people at the scene before he could carry through his attack.

In Jaipur, a former CRPF officer, Vikas Jakhar, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly manhandling Congress MLA Rafeek Khan during a meeting at the MLA's residence, police reported.

Jakhar, who accused Khan of harassing his wife, was subdued and beaten by individuals present at Khan's home in Adarsh Nagar.

The police disclosed that Jakhar, a Shaurya Chakra honoree, resigned from the CRPF in 2021. Officer Balbir Kaswan stated Jakhar acted out of rage, grabbing Khan by the collar before being stopped by attendees.
