CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat has accused the Haryana government of empowering cow vigilantes following the death of 19-year-old Aryan Mishra, who was allegedly shot by vigilantes during a car chase in Faridabad.
Karat, who met Mishra's family, demanded compensation and stated that the Haryana government's policies enable vigilantes to act unlawfully under the guise of cow protection. She also criticized the police's complicity in such crimes.
The recent murder case, which saw five suspects arrested, has sparked demands for policy changes and justice from the state's administration.
