Haryana Ensures Secure Electorate with Robust Measures

Haryana Chief Secretary T V S N Prasad on Thursday affirmed the state government's extensive measures to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful electoral process.

With Haryana set to go to the polls on October 5 and the votes to be counted on October 8, the state has deployed 341 flying squads and 125 static surveillance teams (SSTs) focusing on districts along the borders.

Additionally, 124 inter-state checkpoints and 90 intra-state checkpoints have been established to monitor cross-border movement and control the transport of illicit goods.

Since the election announcement, the police have confiscated 96 unlicensed arms and 113 cartridges. Authorities have also arrested 176 proclaimed offenders, 129 bail jumpers, and one parole jumper.
