Army Roped in to Control Floods in Vijayawada: Naidu
Amid unprecedented floods in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has enlisted Army help to plug breaches in the Budameru rivulet. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan conducted an aerial survey and announced full Central support. Damage includes destroyed homes, vehicles, and infrastructure.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that Army teams have been enlisted to plug breaches in the Budameru rivulet amid severe flooding in Vijayawada.
At a press conference held at the NTR district collectorate in Vijayawada on Thursday, Naidu, alongside Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, detailed the catastrophe's extent.
Chouhan, who conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas earlier, pledged full Central support, highlighting the efforts of the state government and the chief minister in addressing the crisis.
