Tragic Accident Sparks Protest in Raebareli

A tragic accident in Raebareli district resulted in the death of a 16-year-old girl and injuries to two other teenagers. The incident led to a protest by the victims' families, villagers, and school students. Police intervened to pacify the protesters and are searching for the truck driver.

In a tragic turn of events, a 16-year-old girl lost her life and two other teenagers sustained injuries after being struck by a truck on Saturday morning in Raebareli, police reported. The tragic incident occurred as the teens were cycling to school near Pyarepur turn in the Salon police station area.

The fatal accident compelled the victims' family members, villagers, and fellow students to stage a sit-in protest. The demonstration, which paralyzed traffic on the Raebareli-Pratapgarh road for several hours, was eventually dispersed after the intervention of Salon Circle Officer Salon Pradeep Kumar.

Authorities confirmed that the deceased, identified as Shailja, died instantly, while Kanchan (17) and Aarti (16) were promptly admitted to the district hospital. The police have launched a search operation to apprehend the truck driver responsible for the accident, with further updates pending the postmortem report.
