Significant Reshuffle in Telangana's IPS Ranks: New Appointments Announced

The Telangana state government has announced a significant reshuffle in its IPS officers. C V Anand is appointed as the new Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, replacing Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy. Other key transfers include Sreenivasa Reddy being posted as DG, Vigilance and Enforcement, and Vijay Kumar as the new DG, Anti Corruption Bureau.

In a significant development, the Telangana state government has undertaken a major reshuffle of its IPS officers. Among the key changes, C V Anand, previously the DG of the Anti Corruption Bureau, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad, succeeding Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy.

In the new postings, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy will now serve as the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement. Additionally, Vijay Kumar, the Additional DG of Personnel, has been transferred and appointed as the DG of the Anti Corruption Bureau.

Other significant transfers include Mahesh M Bhagwat, who will serve in a dual role, handling both law and order and personnel welfare, and M Ramesh taking over additional responsibilities as the Inspector General of Police (Sports). Anand had previously served as the Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad, bringing experience to his new role.
