Major IPS Reshuffle in Telangana: Key Positions Reassigned

Telangana's state government executed a significant reshuffle of IPS officers, appointing C V Anand as the Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad. Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy was moved to DG, Vigilance and Enforcement. Other notable transfers included Vijay Kumar and Mahesh M Bhagwat in key positions.

In a major administrative move, the Telangana state government has announced a significant reshuffle of IPS officers. The recent order, released on Saturday by state Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, designated C V Anand as the new Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad. Anand replaces Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, who will now serve as the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement.

Vijay Kumar, formerly the Additional Director General of Police (Personnel), has been reassigned as the Director General of the Anti Corruption Bureau. Additionally, Mahesh M Bhagwat, who is currently the Additional Director General of Law and Order, will assume full additional charge of the position of Additional DG (Personnel and Welfare) until further notice.

Furthermore, M Ramesh, the Inspector General of Police in Provisioning and Logistics, is appointed to take full additional charge as the IG of Police (Sports). It's worth noting that Anand has previously served as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. These changes reflect strategic adjustments aimed at enhancing the law enforcement efficacy in the region.
