Father-Son Duo Arrested for Brutal Rape in Thane District

A man and his son have been arrested for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman working in a brick kiln in Thane district. The assault occurred with the help of a minor on September 6. The victim's husband has also been detained. The case is under investigation.

A man and his son were arrested on Sunday for the alleged rape of a 27-year-old woman working at a brick kiln in Kalyan, Thane district, according to police officials.

The father-son duo and a minor allegedly entered the woman's hut on September 6, taking turns to rape her, said Murbad Sub Divisional Police Officer Jagdish Shinde.

The accused include the victim's father-in-law (50) and brother-in-law (22), with the juvenile also detained. Following the assault, the victim was hospitalized with severe injuries. Authorities, including Thane Rural SP DS Swamy and tribal welfare committee chairperson Vivek Pandit, are involved in the investigation.
