Kumar's statement comes in the wake of criticism from Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, who has termed the killing of Mangesh Yadav in a police encounter as 'fake.' Yadav claims the encounter was orchestrated based on caste bias. However, Kumar firmly dismissed these allegations, stressing that the police respond appropriately when fired upon.
On a separate note, Kumar assured the media of a comprehensive investigation into the recent attempt to derail the Kalindi Express train in Kanpur. He mentioned that senior officers are actively examining the situation, and any findings will be promptly shared with the public.
