A leopard was captured in Nenmara after causing several disturbances by attacking dogs, including one viral incident with a Rottweiler. A leopard that strayed into a residential area in Nenmara was successfully captured on Saturday, according to forest officials. The incident followed a series of encounters between the leopard and domestic pets, highlighting growing concerns about wildlife crossing into human habitats.

Most notably, the leopard had a widely circulated altercation with a Rottweiler, which defended itself and managed to chase away the predator. This confrontation brought additional attention to the animal's activities in the Vithanassery area, near Pothundi forest station limits.

The forest department responded by deploying a cage trap at a strategic location. Upon discovery of the trapped leopard, local villagers alerted forest officials, who have since relocated it to Pothundi forest station for health evaluations before any relocation efforts.
