A three-year-old boy named Faian Abdul Mannan tragically lost his life after being struck by a motorcycle in the Bhiwandi area of Thane on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM near a Shiva temple close to his residence.
The motorcycle, ridden recklessly, hit the toddler before falling on him, leading to his immediate death. The rider did not stop to assist and fled the scene. The boy's body was later sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered based on a complaint lodged by the victim's mother. The police are actively searching for the motorcyclist, who has yet to be identified. The FIR includes charges under sections of causing death by negligence and rash driving.
