A 28-year-old man has been charged with sending explicit images of a young woman to her fiancé's parents, authorities reported on Saturday. Efforts to capture the fugitive are ongoing.

According to a complaint filed by the 19-year-old woman's mother, Dilnawaz had been stalking her daughter for several months. Despite informing his family, the harassment continued.

Inspector Sanjay Yadav revealed that after the woman's marriage was arranged in Prayagraj, Dilnawaz created a fake Telegram account in her name and sent the lewd images and messages to her future in-laws.

When confronted by the woman's brother, the accused threatened his life and vowed to defame her into marrying him. A police raid on Dilnawaz's residence was unsuccessful as he and his family fled beforehand.

Authorities have booked Dilnawaz under sections related to stalking and criminal intimidation as per the BNS and IT Act, and are actively searching for him, said Inspector Yadav.
