A BJP worker has been accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl in Tikamgarh district, Madhya Pradesh. A case has been registered against Ashish Tiwari, who was recently appointed as a local representative by Union minister Virendra Kumar.
According to Rahul Katre, Sub Divisional Officer of Police, the incident occurred on August 19 but came to light after the girl informed her mother on Friday. Tiwari is currently on the run.
The BJP faces internal strife, with senior leaders informed but not taking action yet. Earlier accusations have already questioned Union minister Virendra Kumar's choice of representatives.
