Alleged Insult to Tricolour Sparks Controversy in Madhya Pradesh
Two residents of Mukundpur, Ishhaq Madni and Mohammed Asif Khan, have been booked for allegedly insulting India's national flag, the Tricolour, in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. They reportedly waved a flag with Islamic inscriptions replacing the Ashok Chakra on September 17 at Gomti Square in Govindgarh town. A complaint was filed by Vikas Agnihotri from Yuva Ekta Parishad.

In a recent incident in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, two individuals have been charged with allegedly showing disrespect to the Tricolour. The local police reported that Ishhaq Madni and Mohammed Asif Khan, residents of Mukundpur, replaced the Ashok Chakra with Islamic inscriptions on a flag they waved on September 17 at Gomti Square in Govindgarh town.
The complaint was officially lodged by Vikas Agnihotri from Yuva Ekta Parishad, which led to the booking of the two accused under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act. The officers revealed that Madni has other cases registered against him.
Govindgarh police station in-charge Shiva Agrawal confirmed the report, stating that Agnihotri and his friends witnessed the act, leading to the immediate filing of the complaint.
