Atishi Takes Charge: Delhi's New Cabinet Allocation

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will retain all 13 portfolios she held in the previous government, which include education, revenue, finance, power, and public works department, officials announced Saturday. Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has approved the proposal from the chief minister for the allocation of work among the ministers of the new cabinet.

Atishi, the eighth chief minister of Delhi, has retained four ministers from the prior administration: Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, and Imran Hussain. First-time MLA from Sultanpur Majra, Mukesh Ahlawat, is a new inclusion in her cabinet. Bharadwaj will handle his previous portfolios and take charge of social welfare and cooperative departments.

Rai, Gahlot, and Hussain will continue in their former roles, overseeing development, transport, and food supply respectively. The portfolio allocation has been officially gazette notified by the General Administration Department with necessary constitutional and regulatory approvals.
