A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by the Lokayukta police, following a court order in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case. The allegations bring the main narrative into political limelight.

In response, Congress President M Mallikarjun Kharge stepped up to defend Siddaramaiah, stating unequivocally that the party stands firmly behind him. Siddaramaiah, on a three-day visit to his home district of Mysuru, claims he is being unfairly targeted as opposition fears him.

Siddaramaiah asserts his innocence, stating he has done nothing wrong and intends to fight the legal charges. The FIR names multiple individuals, including Siddaramaiah's wife and brother-in-law. The case is based on allegations of illegal allotments of high-value sites in Mysuru to Siddaramaiah's wife.
