A Pakistani national was apprehended in Bengaluru, along with his wife and in-laws, for allegedly residing in India under false identities for six years, law enforcement reported on Monday. The preliminary inquiry reveals that the man's wife is of Bangladeshi origin, and the couple initially lived in Dhaka before moving to Delhi in 2014 and subsequently to Bengaluru in 2018.

Their arrest followed a police raid in Jigani, a Bengaluru suburb, where they had reportedly settled in a rented house using counterfeit identification documents. 'Our Jigani Inspector conducted an investigation and registered a case. Four family members were living here illegally with forged papers. We are now interrogating them and will take further action based on the findings,' stated a senior police officer.

The police are scrutinizing the man's connections and activities, as they were found to be supplying materials to a garage. 'We have gathered substantial information and are probing the case further. Seizures from their house are part of the ongoing investigation,' the officer remarked.
