In a dramatic turn of events, former Bihar MLA Gulab Yadav has branded his arrest as a political conspiracy. The arrest comes as part of an ongoing money laundering investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Yadav, detained in Delhi, was transferred to Patna, while Bihar-cadre IAS officer Sanjeev Hans was apprehended directly in Patna. Both arrests stem from allegations of disproportionate assets.
The ED's probe gained momentum after a September FIR by the Bihar Police, which led to another case filed by the Special Vigilance Unit. Amidst tight-lipped ED officials, Yadav insists on his innocence.
