Forgery Fallout: Mizoram Man Arrested for Fake Certificates
A 27-year-old man in Mizoram, identified as Lalneihpuia, was arrested for creating fake certificates. Operating since August, he produced various documents using his smartphone. The Vaivakawn police acted on information from social media, leading to his arrest and the subsequent opening of an investigation.

In a crackdown on forgery, Mizoram police have apprehended a 27-year-old for fabricating official certificates. The suspect, Lalneihpuia from Hnahthial district, had been running the illegal operation since August.
Following a tip-off on October 25 regarding his claims of producing certificates online, authorities arrested him in Aizawl the next day. His confession included details of making approximately 20 fake documents, including academic mark sheets and driving licenses, each sold for Rs 2,000.
The police have lodged a case under Section 336 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with further investigations ongoing, highlighting a serious clampdown on document forgery in the region.
