Indo-Tibetan Border Police officials conclude training at Iluppaikudi camp

A group of official level personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police force completed their 16-week training at Iluppaikudi camp near here for the first time. ITBP DGP Surjeet Singh Deswal, who was the special guest, distributed prizes for the best candidates. DIG Austin Eapen was also present.
The camp at Iluppaikudi was started in 2011. So far 3000 personnel had received training. The DGP said deployment of candidates would be done after acclimatising them to the atmosphere and weather of the place of deployment. The force was guarding a stretch of 3488km against Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, he said, adding that the personnel were alert in Doklam and other areas.
