In a devastating series of strikes, at least 23 civilians, including seven children, have died in Lebanon's Mount Lebanon province after an Israeli attack on Almat, the health ministry confirmed on Sunday. The casualty count is expected to increase.
Further attacks resulted in three deaths and two injuries in Mashghara and another fatality along with four injuries in Sahmar, both located in Lebanon's western Bekaa region. These incidents all transpired late Saturday night, adding to the escalating conflict in the area.
The Israeli military, conducting these operations under the pretext of targeting Hezbollah militants, has not yet issued a statement regarding the civilian casualties reported by the Lebanese health ministry.
