Human Rights Watch has issued a call for international forces to safeguard civilians in Sudan, following alarming reports of civilian atrocities by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The conflict, lasting nearly 19 months, has seen the RSF wreak havoc in regions like Gezira, raising concerns over increasing civilian casualties.
Despite peace efforts by U.S and Saudi-led negotiations, no ceasefire has been achieved, and the global focus has shifted to the Middle East, complicating intervention efforts.
