A fast-track court has sentenced a tuition teacher to 111 years in rigorous imprisonment, alongside a fine of Rs 1.05 lakh, for raping a plus-one student. The teacher lured the student five years ago before committing the heinous act.
The convict, identified as Manoj, aged 44, faces an additional year of imprisonment if the fine is unpaid. Tragically, Manoj's wife ended her life after learning of his crimes involving the minor girl.
Judge R Rekha stated that the crime warranted no mercy, declaring that Manoj betrayed his role as the child's guardian. Evidence presented revealed that the crime took place on July 2, 2019, with photographic proof found on the suspect's mobile phone.
