In a daring raid, police apprehended 64 individuals at a Tholkatta farmhouse where an organized cockfight was discovered. The operation, based on a tip-off, unfolded late Tuesday night and revealed a large-scale illegal activity.

A senior police official disclosed that officers seized a range of items used in the illicit operation, including 46 cockfight knives, various betting paraphernalia, 55 cars, 64 smartphones, 84 cocks, and Rs 30.59 lakh in cash.

The individuals involved are facing charges under the Gaming Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Further investigations are in progress to identify and prosecute all players connected to this illegal activity.
