The Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, inaugurated a series of pivotal exhibitions covering Garment Technology, Dyes & Chemicals, and Handicrafts at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The inauguration, marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, signals the commencement of key events under the umbrella of Bharat Tex 2025. The mega event will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from February 14 to 17, 2025, spanning an expansive 2.2 million square feet exhibition space and featuring over 5,000 exhibitors.

Minister's Address Highlights Textile Value Chain Importance

In his inaugural address, Shri Giriraj Singh emphasized the critical role that segments such as garment technology, sustainable dyes, and handicrafts play in the textile value chain. He highlighted that these exhibitions are a testament to India’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability within the industry. "This is a unique initiative that unites industry leaders, manufacturers, and artisans to showcase their excellence and will drive future-ready solutions, sustainability, and trade opportunities on an unprecedented scale," said the Minister.

Four Co-Located Events Spotlighting the Textile Supply Chain

The Greater Noida event will feature four co-located exhibitions, each representing a crucial aspect of the global textile supply chain:

  1. Garment Technology Expo (GTE) 2025: Recognized as South East Asia’s premier apparel production technology event, GTE 2025 will display cutting-edge machinery, processes, and solutions. The event will bring together manufacturers, designers, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in garment technology.

  2. DyeChem World Bharat Tex 2025: This segment will focus on sustainable dyes, chemicals, and innovative raw materials, underscoring the industry’s shift towards eco-friendly manufacturing. Exhibitors will highlight how advanced technologies are reducing environmental impacts while maintaining product excellence.

  3. Indian Handicrafts Pavilion: Featuring over 450 exhibitors from across India, this pavilion will showcase a rich variety of handcrafted products, including home décor, furnishings, fashion accessories, and Geographical Indication (GI) products. The integration of handicrafts into the broader textile and apparel value chain aims to support traditional artisans while meeting the evolving demands for unique, high-quality handmade goods.

  4. India Sourcing Conclave (ISC): Organized by the Sourcing Consultants Association, the ISC will feature expert-led discussions on global sourcing trends, export strategies, and foreign trade policies. This conclave is designed to strengthen India’s position as a competitive sourcing hub in the global textile market.
