AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan Faces Controversy Over Alleged Police Attack

AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan appeared before the police a day after receiving summons for allegedly attacking a police team in Jamia Nagar. A court granted him interim protection from arrest until February 24, with Judge Jitendra Singh directing him to participate in the investigation when required.

The controversy stems from an FIR filed by Delhi police, accusing Khan of orchestrating an attack that assisted a criminal in fleeing custody. The incident occurred as the Crime Branch attempted to arrest Shabaz Khan, an accused in an attempted murder case.

Khan has strongly denied the allegations, claiming he is being framed and questioning the motives behind the police's summons. He also sent a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, asserting that he was not evading justice but was instead targeted unjustly.
