Nineteen members of the banned CPI (Maoist) from Chhattisgarh have turned themselves in to authorities in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, Telangana.
According to police reports, the individuals were swayed by initiatives promoting the well-being of surrendered Maoists and development activities from the police and CRPF through 'Operation Cheyutha.'
The surrender, which includes key figures with substantial bounties, marks a move towards peace as these former militants seek to reintegrate into civilian life.
