A couple from Kakarala village tragically ended their lives after a dispute over attending a wedding, authorities reported Friday.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Ram Arj, Rohit, 26, was due to attend a wedding with family on Thursday. However, after consuming excessive alcohol, his wife Parvati, 24, was driven to despair and took her own life by hanging.

Upon discovering Parvati's death, Rohit died by suicide, stepping in front of a train near Mirzapur Bela station. The bodies were sent for post-mortem, and a detailed investigation is ongoing.
