Next week, India and Bangladesh will convene their bi-annual border talks to discuss pressing issues like border fence construction and attacks on BSF personnel by Bangladeshi miscreants, according to an official statement released on Friday.

The 55th Director General-Level Border Coordination Conference will take place at the BSF headquarters from February 17-20, marking the first high-level meeting since the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government last August.

Key agenda points include preventing assaults on BSF personnel, tackling border crimes, and collaborative actions against Indian insurgent groups operating in Bangladesh, according to the BSF. The countries also aim to strengthen their Coordinated Border Management Plan.
