Controversy Erupts Over Indore Jail Assault Video

An inquiry has been launched after a video surfaced showing a man being beaten inside Mhow sub jail, Madhya Pradesh. The jail official has been suspended and further investigation will involve recording statements from inmates.

Authorities have initiated an inquiry following the emergence of a video depicting a man being assaulted inside Mhow sub jail in Indore district, Madhya Pradesh.

The footage shows a group attacking an unidentified individual, prompting Director General of Prisons GP Singh to order a thorough investigation. According to Superintendent of Indore Central Jail, Alka Sonkar, the video appears to be an old recording.

Manoj Chaurasia, the sub jailer, has been suspended as part of the probe, although official confirmation of the suspension order remains pending. Officials plan to collect statements from inmates and their families to advance the investigation.
