The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has initiated an investigation into the alleged misuse of government properties and public funds in the expansion and renovation of a bungalow, controversially referred to as 'Sheesh Mahal', occupied by former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Labelled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a case of corruption, the property and its development have been scrutinized following BJP leader Vijender Gupta's complaints. Gupta has accused Kejriwal of flouting construction norms and spending extravagantly on the bungalow's interiors.

The allegations claim significant misuse of public funds, which were reportedly used for luxury items such as expensive carpets and televisions. The CVC has directed the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to conduct thorough investigations based on these accusations, with appropriate actions expected against those responsible.
