Crime of Desperation: Mother's Gruesome Act in Prakasam

In a shocking incident from Prakasam district, a 57-year-old woman is accused of murdering her 35-year-old son with the aid of relatives, driven by frustration with his erratic conduct.

Prakasam Superintendent of Police, A R Damodar, identified the accused as K Lakshmi Devi. Her son, K Shyam Prasad, reportedly a cleaner, displayed indecent behavior leading to his demise on February 13.

Police stated Prasad's behavior extended to multiple instances of assault on relatives, which allegedly triggered the ghastly crime. His remains were found dismembered and discarded in three sacks in a local canal. Authorities have booked the accused under relevant sections and are conducting a thorough search operation.
