In a swift operation, Mumbai police apprehended two individuals from Maharashtra's Buldhana district for allegedly sending emails threatening to bomb Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's vehicle. Both suspects, Mangesh Wayal and Abhay Shingne, hail from Deulgaon Mahi locality, officials revealed on Friday.

The threatening emails were reported at Goregaon and J J Marg police stations on Thursday, triggering a rapid investigation. In response, an FIR was registered at Goregaon station against an unidentified individual under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions for criminal intimidation and public mischief.

The Mumbai crime branch utilized advanced technical analysis to trace the source of the emails to Buldhana. A crime branch team subsequently traveled there, with local police support, leading to the arrest of the suspects. Both are being transported to Mumbai for further questioning.
